Zumbrota lays claim to being the home of the only original covered bridge in the state!  The bridge, which was built in 1869, is on the National Registry of Historic Places.  It is the centerpiece of Zumbrota's Covered Bridge Park, which spreads over 80 acres and includes updated camping facilities for RVers, campsites, a Kid's Kingdom play area, ball fields, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, seasonal ice rink, open and enclosed picnic shelters, a gazebo, and a public swimming pool.

Hikers and bikers can get on the local trail system at the park, which is also the trailhead for the regional Pioneer Trail that connects Zumbrota to to its neighboring towns of Goodhue and Red Wing. This trail is being expanded for dual use by walkers, bikers, horseback riders and snowmobilers.
